Shane Bulloch’s track record spans over 25 years in the property industry, covering general and financial management in construction, development and asset management.
CEO of the Anthony John Group since 2011, he draws on his broad experience to manage all aspects of the development, hotel and residential management business.
Notable Group achievements since his commencement include securing over $275m in residential sales at the $590m mixed use development Southpoint at South Bank, with construction to commence on the next multi award winning Emporium Hotel in Q3 2015; leasing 100% of the commercial tower at Southpoint to Flight Centre Travel Group; pre-selling the same tower to Germany’s Union Investment for over $200m (resulting in Brisbane’s largest commercial deal of 2014); completing over $75m in built product at Cannon Hill’s East Village and Southgate Corporate Park developments.
Shane began his career in property in 1987 as part of the team responsible for delivering Brisbane’s Myer Centre. Since then he has been involved in retail, hotel, residential and office development, with a particularly strong track record in mixed-use.
He spent seven years with the Baulderstone Hornibrook Group in various financial and risk management roles throughout Australia, then moving into the electricity industry for 2 ½ years before returning to property and construction in 1999 as General Manager for a private developer.
During his five-year tenure, Shane managed the development of Port Macquarie’s Four Points by Sheraton (now Rydges) overseeing, on behalf of the owners, hotel operations for the first two years. Additional deliverables included commercial office buildings, land subdivisions and the redevelopment of the heritage Royal Hotel.
Shane joined the Multiplex Group in 2004 and was appointed a Director of the development business later that year, whilst continuing as the Regional Head of Property Development until October 2008. During this time his team completed Brisbane’s new International Cruise Ship Terminal (an integral part of the successful mixed-use Portside Wharf), Lakelands and Cotton Beach developments.
